The Sweet Mango Bungalows are situated on Petchkasem Road, in front the resort's entrance on the left hand side is Sue Hairdresser, if you travel from Bang Niang market.The grounds of Sweet Mango Bungalow has big shady trees and a well maintained garden. All of the 10 bungalows are air con, separate to 6 family rooms with full amenities include kitchenette, dining room, and 4 standard rooms have the same amenities except kitchen room & coffee set. Tours are also available. At the same side and opposite of the resort, there are many restaurants and shops. Convenience for staying here inexpensive.

The Sinee Bungalows are situated in the center of Bang Niang, but hiding behind some houses along the main highway. They are normally rented out for longer periods to foreigners working in Khao Lak.

813 Hostel Khaolak is situated opposite the central 7/11 supermarket in Bang Niang. The rooms are mostly in the second floor. They are very spacious and have a large bathroom. They are equipped with all modern facilities. In the evening the hostel entertains a wide surrounding with its music.

The Riverside Guesthouse is situated on the river next to the bridge in a shophouse. The rooms in the upper floors are adequate and clean. In addition there are 3 bungalow rooms in an attached row house. In the adjacent building the owners opened a dormitory with 2 large beds and 2 bunk beds, each bed for 250 Baht. The use of the attached kitchen is free. The guesthouse is run by a very friendly young family. Pranee, the mother of the owner, opened the Pranee Bungalows at the beach of Koh Kho Khao.

Chanita Mansion is situated at the end of a lane 200 meters from the main road. It consists of two buildings with three floors. The rooms are mainly rented out for several months by staff from resorts and other businesses.

Bavaria Inn is located off the Bang Niang Bach Road 800 meters from the sea. It is tucked away behind the row of shop houses. The rooms are of varied sizes, from small to very large, some have windows, others not. All rooms are well equipped and look clean. They are taken care of by Tom Moessle and the Bavaria House team.

The rooms on the upper floor of the small bar are managed by Yves from Switzerland together with his Thai wife. His friendly character contributes to the fact that their 3 rooms are always occupied. A billiard table is in the middle of the bar, tables and chairs are set around. Home-style dinner is available until about 9 pm, drinks usually longer. Yves' wife arranges tours in the surroundings of Khao Lak.

The Sandy House lies 200 m from the beach. It is situated in a 3-storey town house and offers large clean rooms with air-conditioning, TV and shower/WC. Under Thai/English management. The owners run a small minimart on the ground floor.
D. & I. McM. from Khanom Beach wrote about The Sandy House: "The room was clean, smelled clean too !! It had twin beds, and aircon, which I didn't need, a basic but roomy bathroom, and nice big fluffy bath towels.... and friendly UK owner Michael, his wife, Nok, and his large Thai family - were all very friendly. Price, no breakfast, 800 Baht. That was for a single occupancy. Incidentally, I was able to book with them via email/online, the day before I travelled there. In high season, I would recommend phoning in your reservation, as their prices are very competitive."

Loma Resort belongs to Loma Diving, owned by Markus and Anotscha. Manager is Ann, who did a very good job at Sita Garden before. The resort is situated 400 m away from the main road just below the mountains that constitute Khao Lak Lam Ru National Park. The resort has 8 Deluxe- and 2 Family-Bungalows with 2 resp. 3 rooms each, equipped with a real fridge, TV, Video, and MP3-Player, the pool contains salted water and has a jacuzzi. There are also a sauna and a steambath, a restaurant, and a lounge, Internet is available. Surcharge at Christmas/New Year is 200 Baht, an extrabed costs 700 Baht, for children 500 Baht.
