Ang Thong

Ang Thong is a province in Central Thailand just north of Ayutthaya.
Ang Thong is famous for two large Buddha statues, the large reclining Buddha and the Big Buddha statue that stands 92 m tall. The reclining Buddha statue is made from brick and is over 100 years old, whereas the Big Buddha was made from concrete and was finished in 2008 as the ninth tallest statue in the world.
