This route takes you through small villages where you can see country life and some National Parks on your way.

Rents for motorbikes start at 180 Baht per day, depending on the duration of the lease. Cars start at 1.000 Baht per day. Ask at Akanak Resort, Krabi Discovery or The Bananas for Alternatively you can find Avis, Budget and Hertz at the airport upon arrival. Budget has a subsidiary in Klong Muang. Cars can also be rented with a chauffeur if you do not want to drive yourself. For further information you can alsways ask at the front desk of your accommodation.

The concrete Bungalows and the dormitory have hot water showers too. The Restaurant at the Bananas cooks to your individual taste with specials in the evenings. Follow the road from Ao Tha Len through Khao Thong and continue on H4033 until you get to the junction with H4. Turn left on H4 an and follow the Highway until you reach Ao Luk Junction. Here you find a Tesco Lotus, some restaurants along the road and markets. Just before Ao Luk you turn left on H4039 and you can visit Than Boke Khorani National Park where a river runs through a natural grotto and is surrounded by a nice park. Food stalls at the entrance.

Instead of taking the Highway H4 all the way to o Ao Luk,you take a left at the crossing with H1003 and follow this road straight ahead, after 5 kms it is named H4011. At the next t-junction take a left to Baan Ao Luk Noi. pass the mosque and take another left on H4010. Follow this road until it takes you to H4. Turn left on H4 and continue your journey.

Than Boke Khorani National Park

Than Boke Khorani National Park (อุทยานแห่งชาติธารโบกธรณี) (Krabi)

Than Boke Khorani National Park covers an area of 37.5 rai. The Park is covered by a diverse canopy of various species of tree, such as wild gardenia, Asoka, and Apocynaceae that are scattered around Sa Boke Khorani.

At the north end of Sa Boke Korani, which flows through a winding passage in the mountain, is a wood carving of Lord Buddha's footprint and a shrine of Chao Pho To Yuan - To Chong. Other attractions in the park include several limestone mountain caves, verdant mangrove forests and beautiful islands which can be reached only by boat. Admission fee for adults and children are 200 and 100 baht per person. The Park does not provide accommodation, but camping in the park is allowed although tourists have to bring their own tents. You then follow H4039 until you get to Laem Sak. Along the roads you see the rural life of Southern Thailand. Rubber Plantations, small farm houses and pineapple fields. The closer you get to the shore the more mangroves you will see.

At the end of the road is a small restaurant where you can have Thai food and refreshments.

You take the same road back, turn right on H4, then take another right on H4033, that leads you to Nong Thale, take a right on H4034. This road takes you through more picturesque scenery and rural Krabi. You will see friendly people waving at you, children bathing in ponds, small temples and shrines as well as mosques. Go back to the small village and take a right into H4034 and take another right to Ao Tha Len.
