Khao Nam Khang Historic Tunnel (อุโมงค์ประวัติศาสตร์เขาน้ำค้าง) (Songkhla)
Khao Nam Khang Historic Tunnel was once known as the Piyamit Village 5, run by Communist insurgents. After almost 40 years of fighting it became part of the Thai Development Participants in 1987.

It is the largest and longest man-made tunnel in Thailand and was completed in two years. It has three separate corridors and is three levels deep. It could accommodate about 200 people with its several rooms such as a conference room, sick bay, radio transmission room, kitchen, firing range, and others.

Khao Nam Khang Historic Tunnel is situated in Khao Nam Khang, Moo 1, Tambon Khlong Kwang, about 4 km from the Park Office.
Khao Nam Khang Historical Tunnel is a man-made tunnel, located at Moo 1, Tambon Khlong Kwang, Amphoe Nathawi, 92 kms. from Hat Yai. This tunnel was once a base of members of the outlawed Communist Party of Malaya (CPM) who surrendered en masse to the Thai authorities on March 13, 1987. Renamed as the Friendship Village or Piyamit Village 5 the premise was a site of battles for 40 years. It is the largest man-dug tunnel in the country and took two years to complete. The three level tunnel with 1000 meters winding paths and multiple entrances and exits can accommodate 200 people. The tunnel has been renovated and preserved as a historical site and tourist attraction.
Dug into the mountain, the 1-km long tunnel consists of 3 levels with 16 entrances and many rooms such as bedrooms, a meeting room, and shooting range.
Outside the tunnel is a basketball course, kitchen, marriage ceremonial room and residence for followers.
