Bang Niang Beach was heavily affected by the Tsunami. Almost all buildings disappeared. Only a few videos show the effect of the Tsunami on Bang Niang. The video by the German tourist Stefan Kuehn was taken from Khao Lak Bungalows at Nang Thong Beach. It does not show Bang Niang, but only the police patrol boat 813 in front of Bang Niang. We are still investigating the publicly available videos about coverage of Bang Niang. A large selection of photographs taken the days after the Tsunami shows the extent of the destruction.
