Temple >> Wat Phratat Doi Saket (ChiangMaiProvince) Wat Phratat Doi Saket is the main temple of the village. Majestically located on a hill the temple can be seen from far away. You can either take the stairs that lead to the top of the hill or the road that commences behind the market. The yellow songthaews also take you up there. You can also find a coffee shop and a massage place on the area. After visiting the main temple you can go further up the hill you get to the construction site of the temple´s extension. Not many people are up here. You can find cages with birds, rabbits and various other small animals. The new part of the temple is supposed to be finished by 2015.

Flight of the Gibbon (DoiSaket) Flight of the Gibbon is a Zip lining Park in the middle of the rainforest about 30 kilometres from the city of Chiang Mai. It is designed and engineered by New Zealand specialists and 10 % of the profit goes to conservation projects. You explore the rainforest from great heights. The total area is about 2,500 square kms. The park is located in Mae-On sub district. From Chiang Mai you take H1317 towards Mae-On, at KM21 turn right to H1006. At Ban Pao Sam Kha turn right and follow H1229, you will reach the checkpoint after 4 kms. then go for another 10 kms until you reach the entrance to the Park. The mountains at Mae Takrai National Park rise to an altitude of 1,900 meters. Rainfall all year round makes the forest lush and green. The park has two waterfalls and you can hike to a reservoir that can be fished in and Phu Lnka Luang is the 5th highest mountain in Thailand. The park has a campsite but you have to bring your own tents.

HIM Restaurant (DoiSaket) Closed in the Green Season HIM Restaurant is about 13 kms outside of Doi Saket on H121. The restaurant is set back from the road and the outside tables overlook the small lake. Aircon rooms are available as well. HIM Restaurant offers Thai- Chinese Cuisine with excellent service. Tarnthong Lodge Restaurant and Cafe (DoiSaket) Tarnthong Restaurant is located beautifully in Maekrai National Park and is part of Tarnthong Lodges. The restaurant offers tasty Thai dishes - my favourite is fried fish with herbs and Green Curry. A coffee shop is part of Tarnthong Restaurant. The best time to go is late afternoon. Pizza Plus (DoiSaket) Rates: 80 to 399 Baht Pizza Plus is about 2 kms outside of Doi Saket on the road that leads to Bosang. Eve and Sine, the friendly Thai hosts do excellent pizzas. Pasta is offered and various appetizers as well as fresh salads. They have now added various Thai dishes to their menu as well as European delights, such as spinach pie with bacon and cheese.
