Mr. Gao Bungalows are a very popular, long-run and friendly place set in tropical vegetation in large grounds on the hillside. It offers 10 various wooden, concrete and bamboo bungalows dotted in a beautiful garden amongst shady trees, most of them with sea view, tiled open-air bathrooms and well furnished. Mr. Gao Bungalows have a nice restaurant right by the sea, serving generous portions and delicious food that attracts many people from the island. Set in 2 rows, there are 20 spacious wooden bungalows, comfortably furnished, beautiful large and tiled bathrooms, furnished verandas overlooking the sea and thatched roofs. The restaurant at Jansom Beach Bungalow is on the hillside enjoying a fantastic view of the bay, although the cuisine is rated average. Very quiet and idyllic. The management is not the friendliest, run by Miss Cat. Burmese artworks and paintings made of leaves are for sale.

Chomjan Resort is a well-managed resort with a choice of 5 concrete and 4 wooden en-suite bungalows which are dotted on the hillside, just behind the beach. All bungalows are large and well-furnished, the more expensive ones have glass windows and tiled bathrooms. Chomjan Resort opened in 2007 and it is a very clean place. Restaurant with great sea view, large menu serving many European dishes, especially breakfast options and steaks. Thai specialties include „Homok“ (fish steamed in banana leaves) and salad with banana flowers. The excellent cuisine attracts many guests from far, highly recommended. Very clean and comfortable, the front ones enjoy a beautiful sea view. The friendly owners of Payam Cabana Yok and Jimmy offer a genuine warm welcome to their guests, great service. Restaurant on the beach with an excellent view of the bay. Delicious meals, generous portions, fresh seafood daily. Long Beach Bungalows moved in 2011 from their old location in the north of the bay. The new Long Beach is right on the beach, by the little path in the south of Ao Yai. The owners Mr. Piak and Mrs. Ranee are very friendly and easy going and they offer bungalows in different sizes and prices. Long Beach Bungalow provides a small restaurant with inexpensive meals, famous for Tom Yam Gung, Cashew Nut Sweet and Sour and the special Pad Thai with curry. Mrs. Ranee won the first prize during a cooking competition in 2008.

Palm Beach is a popular low-key place at the southern end of the bay, it offers 8 simple wooden and bamboo huts at various elevations up a hill overlooking the sea. All have bathroom, furnished veranda and excellent sea view. The path going up is sometimes very steep. Palm Beach is managed by Mr. Pon and his wife, who are very quiet and friendly. Sabai Sabai is a lovely designed and popular resort right on the beach, managed by James from England who takes very well care of his guests and who is socially committed on the island (school project for Burmese children). 5 large en-suite wooden bungalows with verandas are set next to each other on the beach. All are equipped with king size bed and they are nicely furnished and individually decorated, each interior design is characteristic for a country, for example Bali, India. James also built many sitting and relaxing areas, creatively made from natural materials and he planted a beautiful garden with many flowers. Sabai Sabai has a cozy restaurant with western food. For hobby chefs: you are invited to cook your favorite meal for everybody. Internet, movies and poker & karaoke nights on request. Portable DVD player for rent.
