Hin Ngam is a small island whose granite rocks were smoothly polished by the sea, thus they shine like large black pebbles in the sun. The snorkeling is very beautiful in front of this pebble beach. Just under the surface of the water there is a large amount of feather duster worms, which quickly pull back their colorful fans into their tubes when people approach incautiously. Not far from Koh Hin Ngam there is the beautiful snorkel place Seven Colors (2–8 m deep) where corals flourish in seven colors.
On Koh Rawi sea turtles sometimes lay their eggs into the hot sand, the coast facing Koh Adang offers very good snorkeling.
The best place for snorkeling near Koh Butong is on the front part facing Koh Rawi. At Koh Yang snorkeling is very rewarding. Koh Kai and her sister island Koh Klang lies half way between Koh Adang and Koh Tarutao. From November to December huge sea turtles dig holes and lay their eggs in the sand on the beach.
