Bicycle rickshaws – for short trips you pay 20 to 30 Baht, for longer trips for example from the train station to the beach, 40 to 50 Baht. Many drivers ask for 80 Baht for the trip to the guesthouse and then another 150 Baht from the owner. If you do not like to participate in this rip-off, you better walk.
Songthaew – running from 6 am to 5.45 pm to destinations nearby the city, from Petchkasem Road, opposite of Chat Chai Hotel, for 7 to 10 Baht per person, to Takeap rock for 20 Baht.
Taxis – A taxi costs about 800 Baht for a day tour, expect to pay more during high season – to Khao Sam Roi Yot 800 to 1,200 Baht, by tuk-tuk 800 Baht.
