Ranong is situated in the West of Thailand at the Andaman Sea. There are buses of all types available to get to Ranong. Very popular is the Rungkit bus between Chumphon and Phuket. From Chumphon and from Surat Thani minivans depart every hour. The next train station is in Chumphon. Ranong is connected to Bangkok by air too. The service is very infrequent, though.
