Baan Phangnga includes a food stall with a restaurant located on the ground floor. At the entrance baked goods are displayed in a glass vitrine. Several groups of tables with upholstered furnishings contribute to a nice atmosphere which is further enhanced by the friendliness of the owners. The small hotel consists of 12 rooms situated on the upper floor which give a pleasant impression with walls and bedclothes in different colors and upper class furnishings. Free wireless internet access from your own laptop.
Breakfast is available from 7.30 to 10 am, it comes with homemade bread and freshly brewed coffee. The restaurant is open from 10 am to 10.30 in the evening and it serves inexpensive Thai food as well as pasta and steaks.

The Home Phang Nga is a very special guesthouse in the center of Phang Nga Town. It is built directly at the western mountain chain which show as natural walls in two bathrooms. The guesthouse has only 6 rooms, which are all different. One has two large beds, another is a family room with kitchen and verious seating arrangements. The garden is very attractive and contains several objects of interest from the tin mining period. The guesthouse is a few minutes walk from the main road and from the town center.


Es ist direkt an die westliche Felsenkette gebaut und in zwei Baedern bilden die Felsen eine natuerliche Wand. Es hat nur 6 Zimmer, die alle unterschiedlich sind. Eines ist sehr gross und mit Kueche und Sitzgarnituren ausgestattet. Ein anderes verfuegt ueber zwei grosse Betten. Der Garten ist sehr schoen angelegt und mit einigen interessanten Ausstellungsstuecken versehen. Zu Fuss kommt man in wenigen Minuten an die Hauptstrasse und in die Innenstadt.

The Phang-Nga Guesthouse is situated in a narrow building on the main road. A variety of different rooms set on two floors, along a long corridor. They are cosily furnished and painted in friendly colours, with pictures on the wall. Some rooms are equipped with a fridge, TV and comfortable seating arrangement. The manager is very friendly and she speaks English quite well.

The V.S. Home has a sign at the main road written in Thai saying: Hong Pak (which means rooms for rent). Western people can recognize it by the telephone number: 076-430429. A food stall with delicious barbecue sate is right next door. The signboard announces that this stall prepares grilled pork for 25 years already.

There is one guesthouse on Koh Panyi Island, the Panyee Bungalows, at the northern end of the built-up area. The 4 rooms are built from bamboo mats resting on stilts above the water together with the large restaurant. Toilet and shower are outside. In the room rate of 600 Baht for 2 persons breakfast and dinner are included, a very good value for money.

The small Muang Thong Hotel is located in the center of Phang Nga right next to the "temple" of the Kasikorn Bank. The new Palms Hill Resort in the outskirts of Phang Nga Town is a very beautiful resort next to the limestone cliffs. The tropical jungle of these cliffs contains various wildlife, e.g. monkeys. Another attraction is the 3-storey viewpoint tower in the center of the resort. From the top floor there is a splendid view of the mountains encircling the town. Here you can relax with a tiny cup of healthy tea that is freshly brewed from a selection in glass containers. The rooms come in two varieties, bungalows in the back near the cliffs and a row house type with one or two floors. Both of them come with all modern facilities and are also very beautiful. To climax the great attractiveness of the resort there is also a beautiful spa with a nice swimming pool. The staff and the Manager, Khun Son, are very friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this resort when in Phang Nga with your own vehicle.

The View Garden Resort is a motel style resort beside the road to Kapong. The environs are nicely decorated. The rooms are very small, but are well equipped and have a clean bathroom and a tiny balcony. The staff does not speak any English, but is friendly.
