The Green Beach Restaurant plays in a class of its own, the class of inexpensive simplicity. No other restaurant at Nang Thong Beach has so many guests all day long as this very simple restaurant. The top dish is "Mama Noodles with Tom Yam Kung" for 40 Baht. Nowhere else along all beaches of Khao Lak can you eat such a delicious noodle soup for such an incredible price. All other dishes and the Chang Beer are the cheapest on the beach, And the owner checks himself every day that the customers feel happy in the restaurant.

The Nang Thong Bay Restaurant is situated in an elevated position right on the sands of Nang Thong Beach. The view over the beach is beautiful, especially at sunset. There is a large variety of dishes and most guests describe the food as delicious. The prices on the menu are considered standard for Nang Thong Beach; of course, you have to pay more than in the restaurants located at the main road. The staff is very nice and friendly, the service is good.

The Lah-Own Resort has its restaurant and bar near the beach in an attractive wooden building with large terraces and a closed room for use in case of rain or winds. The restaurant is well managed by Mr. Pisit, the resort owner, who loves to cook many meals himself. The prices on the large menu are surprisingly low.

Nong Prew Restaurant (pronounced Nong Priaw) is situated at the northern end of Bang Niang Beach. Before the new Natural Resort it occupies a beachfront area with salas for eating, krathoms for massage, deck chairs and umbrellas. The round bar looks quite decorative. During the day the area is teaming with tourists enjoying the beach. In the evening portions tend to be substantially larger than during the day. The management is quite service minded and takes very good care of the guests. Around 5 pm music is turned up to unbearable levels so that tourists flee the scene which allows the staff to clean up before tourists come back for the popular sunset hour. Of course most tourists don't understand this clever action and tend to be upset about it. If a table is ordered for a group in the evening, it is nicely placed on the beach and beautifully decorated with table cloth, flowers and decorative lamps.

Sabai Sabai Restaurant is situated right by the beach on the property of The Shambhala Resort. Although the food is delicious and the service excellent, it is only rarely patronized by guests from outside the resort. This is a pity because mama is a very good cook and the prices are reasonable.

Chom Talay Restaurant is situated right on Bang Niang Beach next to Sunny Restaurant. Guests from the Riverside Resort come by shuttle to enjoy the beach. A restaurant, a small bar, massage at the beach and a small catamaran are available. Dishes cost from 150 to 270 Baht. Outside guests are raely seen.

Sunny Restaurant and bar on the beach of Sudala Beach Resort serves a splendid variety of international and Thai dishes and has a panoramic view. Their specialty is seafood and fresh fish. Our top favorite in Khao Lak is the Barracuda Filet prepared in 6 variations according to your taste. You pay by the weight, which is only 45 Baht per 100 gram, and a sumptuous salad is included. Lately they have asked for a minimum of 300 grams per serving, but even then, in such a beautiful environment, this is the best value for money you can find in Khao Lak. The drinks are not cheap though. If you are on a budget, an inexpensive bottle of water will do easily.

The Beach Restaurant is located right on the beach in the northern half of Bang Niang Beach. Most tables are positioned on the sand, the sound of the waves is a nice background sound. The Beach Restaurant serves excellent seafood for affordable prices. The cocktail bar offers standard drinks. The Beach Restaurant opens for breakfast at 8 am, they have muesli and American Breakfast.

Chong Fah Restaurant is located in the center of Bang Niang Beach where the access road meets the beach. Chong Fah Restaurant is a separate restaurant not to be mixed up with the high class restaurant of Chong Fah Resort.

Memories Bar and Restaurant is situated just south of Apsaras Beach Resort.It is set in a beautiful location beside a river estuary, and is a surfers paradise with a long sandy beach sloping gently into the water. It also boast a restaurant serving good food at reasonable prices. During the filming of the "Impossible", Naomi Watts, Ewan Mc Gregor and crew, used to come here to relax. It is reached on a 3 km long gravel road that starts at the Elephant Camp at the north of Khuk Khak.

Ao Thong Restaurant is the middle one of the three beach restaurants and it has the least natural shade. However, it offers a very pretty seating arrangement in Ayutthaya style. The menu is displayed on the beach on 4 whiteboards. Prices are the same as in the neighbour restaurants. In the back a few bungalows offer aircon accommodation.

Oawthong Restaurant Goon and Gib is the northernmost of the three beach restaurants and it has ample shade under high casuarina trees. This may be the reason that it seems to be the most popular restaurant. The food also might be slightly more delicious, the friendliness a notch higher. There are aircon bungalows for rent behind the restaurant.

Das Jasmin Restaurant liegt direkt am Pakweep Beach. Dahinter führt die geschotterte Beach Road vorbei. Das Restaurant hat etwa 11 Tische aller Art mit unterschiedlichen Sitzmöbeln. Vorn am Strand stehen 16 Liegen aus Holz und Plastik sowie viele Sonnenschirme. Die Preise im Restaurant liegen um die 100 Baht. Wie in allen Restaurants am Pakweep Beach ist die Atmosphäre sehr angenehm.

Ma-Ma (Mr.Lek) liegt direkt am Pakweep Beach. Dahinter fuehrt die geschotterte Beach Road vorbei. Das Restaurant hat etwa 12 Tische aller Art mit unterschiedlichen Sitzmoebeln. Vorn am Strand und neben dem Restaurant stehen 28 Liegen aller Art. Zudem gibt es eine Dusche aussen. Wie in allen Restaurants am Pakweep Beach sind die Preise nicht ueberzogen und die Atmosphaere ist sehr angenehm.
