Lanta Seafood Restaurant is built on stilts and overlooks the ocean and Lanta Noi, the island opposite. From 17.00 fresh seafood is on display and can be ordered and cooked to your liking. I recommend ordering a fish steamed in Lime Sauce, a crab in Curry Sauce and prawns with garlic and pepper. Lanta Seafood Restaurant is open all day long and Thai food and European snacks can be ordered any time.

The Safety Stop belongs to Koh Lanta Diving Center, located next to Saladan Health Center. It is a Coffee Shop Restaurant and when the dive boat returns you find many divers enjoying their 'decompression drink'. At Safety Stop you can enjoy fresh coffee, mixed juices as well as cold beers and mixed drinks.

Mr. Pizza does very good Pizzas in Saladan. The restaurant is nicely decorated, the friendly owners Paul and Alex speak good English and are very attentive. The kitchen at Mr. Pizza closes at 22.00; however the restaurant with the nice bar corner remains open for drinks until late. Free WiFi for customers.

The Frog is located on the small road leading to the pier. The Frog has a beautifully decorated interior and relaxed seating area upstairs and a secluded garden for dining on sunny days and warm evenings. The Frog offers the finest Fusion Food. Children's portions from the menu are available. The Frog has its own wine cellar with an extremely large choice of wines from around the world. At the rear there is parking and access to the garden part of the restaurant for people in wheelchairs or baby strollers.

The Town Restaurant and Bar, formerly Corner bar, is run by a friendly Thai called Sayan who has excellent English. Very good Thai food at reasonable prices. Try Pad-Si-U-Nuea, which is a noodle dish with beef and vegetables. Mixed drinks, cold beers and wine are served. The restaurant has a comfortable ambiance, the seating is surrounded by lovely plants and the decoration is mostly done with seashells.

Nong Cat is a Thai and German Restaurant. Set back from the bustling main road in a beautiful garden, Nong Cat Restaurant offers tasty Thai food and some European delights. Daily Specials and occasionally BBQs just watch out for the black board next to Lanta Pharmacy. Kerstin, the friendly owner has been on Lanta for more than 12 years, so if you need any hints do not hesitate to contact her.

Dieck's Deli located at the entrance of Southern Lanta Resort offers the fare of a German delicatessen. Either take away or just pick your favorite and eat it at Dieck's Restaurant. Salami, cheeses, fish - you will find it all at Dieck's Deli. Sven, the friendly German owner, prepares the food with love.

Nang Sabai which opened in 2008, is a German Bakery run by Ina and Hot (Horst) that serves rich German breakfasts, cakes and gateaux, as well as German specialties. A lot of expatriates and divers like Nang Sabai with its friendly service and the typical German get-together's on Sunday mornings.

V.R. Restaurant and Mini market is part of Klong Dao Resort. The beach-front restaurant offers fresh Seafood during High Season and inexpensive Thai Food all year round. V.R. Restaurant is a preferred spot for Germans as they also offer German dishes. Very good value for money.

Faim de Loup French Bakery opened its doors in 2002. Serge and his team offer friendly services in a nice ambiance. Try the home-made pastries, breads and croissants. Either have them there prepared as your favorite sandwich or take them home. A must are the Quiches that Faim de Loup does; have a fruit shake or your choice of fresh coffee with it. Faim de Loup also does cakes and tarts made to order. The second branch called Cafe au Lait is situated in Klong Dao Beach at the entrance of Southern Lanta.

Red Snapper Restaurant is situated in a lush tropical garden set back from the road to Ban Saladan. Red Snapper is run by a Dutch couple, Joyce and Eddy. They serve Fusion food made from local ingredients as well as tapas and nice deserts. The bar corner is nicely decorated.They have bungalows for rent too.

Mr. Wee Pizza is twice in Phra-Ae one subsidiary is right by the beach, follow the sign on the main road and head down the dirt track to the beach. The second one is by the main road. Mr Wee has been serving pizzas on Koh Lanta for over 10 years. The thin pizzas come from a wood fired oven, moreover Mr. Wee serves Pasta and some Indian dishes.

The Tavern is a restaurant at the beginning of Phra Ae beach area specializing in Western food. The Tavern offers excellent Tex-Mex food, steaks, lamb, bangers and mash, fish & chips, etc. Italian dishes also, plus children's menu and desserts. The Tavern serves an 'all day English breakfast', a LARGE mug of good coffee is recommended!! Beers, wine, cocktails and fresh fruit drinks available. Good service from smiling Thai staff with quite good English provides a warm welcome.

Bulan Lanta is owned by the Painter, Pui. He and his wife offer authentic Thai Food at reasonable prices. Burgers and sandwiches are also served. The quality of the food makes up for the restaurant not being on the beach. Bulan Lanta also has an internet corner and a travel shop. The restaurant is closed during the rainy season.

The El Grecco, the only Greek Taverna on the island, is owned by Alexis Zorbas who has brought all her delicious recipes from Greece to Koh Lanta. Very relaxed, this small restaurant is located on the main road going through Klong Kong, opposite the Where Else Resort. Very good coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner served at the Greek Taverna by very friendly 'Happy' staff. Worth a visit!

Travel So Far Bar is located at the main road of Klong Khong. Meow the friendly owner opens until late and Live Sport Events are shown on a big Screen. Travel So Far Bar also offers food. Tasty Thai dishes and pizzas are served as well a rich English breakfasts along with Yorkshire Tea or PG Tips.

Thip Restaurant belongs to Lanta Thip House, a guest-house on the road towards Klong Nin. Thip, the friendly owner, has good English and also organizes tours and travel. Great breakfast and Thai specialties are served either in the nicely decorated aircon section or outside. Internet access and WiFi for guests.

Same Same but Different is located at the south end of Kantiang Bay. It is a lovely beach restaurant with big wooden chairs and unique decorations. The Thai food is excellent and I recommend chicken with cashew nuts. Even though a bit high priced at 180 Baht, it is worth ordering. All food is served in quaint porcelain dishes.

Diamond Cliff is nicely situated in the cliffs of the uninhabited Tub Bay. Diamond Cliff is open from 10am until sundown. Thai dishes and snacks are offered along with ice cold drinks. A great place to stop when touring the island or for the sunset.

Mango Restaurant and Bar is a cozy place to be. The restaurant is famous for its burgers and steaks and is the meeting point in Old Town. Live DJs and Parties every Sunday during High season.

Silver Cafe is actually a silver and jewellery shop that has a nice coffee corner. You can watch the friendly owner making bracelets and necklaces whilst sipping your coffee listening to chill out music.
