This place is managed by a lovely lady, Apple, with her husband Larry from Canada. She speaks English fluently and also some German. Apple Cafe is an “all-in-one-Café”. Large mugs of freshly brewed coffee with fresh milk is served, (a rarity on this beach), breakfast, fruit shakes, homemade bread and cookies they sell jewellery, clothes, books in different languages and tickets for the train/bus and boat. They are always willing to help with all kinds of travelers needs. There is a small terrace which is also frequented by people on rainy days and it is a popular meeting place.

Everything can be found here that the travelers heart desires. That is why it became the meeting place on the beach. Locals and long term tourists, regular customers, divers and kite surfers, music lovers, song writers and guitarists meet here in the beach bar, or in the small hut where the restaurant is located, or sitting on comfortable tree trunks watching the sea. To dance barefoot in the sand to reggae music and to rock music from the seventies or to listen to the guitar player and enjoy a drink or two. The food is very good, it embraces burgers and pizzas as well as fried fish and rice. Expect to wait a little longer than usual for meal preparation. During high season they often make barbeques here. The large hammock for several people is highly suitable for counting shooting stars..and making a wish! The Bar and the Mali Blues Guesthouse as well is managed by the friendly couple Nong and Boy. They speak English very well and they sometimes play the instruments themselves.

On the northern end of the road along the beach. They also have 2 bungalows with air con for rent for 800 Baht/per night. You can sit comfortably either on the large terrace facing the road or in small bamboo huts on the beach. They offer good authentic Thai food, but it doesn’t always contain what you have ordered and it’s a little bit more expensive than other comparable restaurants. The fantastic mango salad is very popular and compensates you for the relatively slow and unfriendly service.

You will get the impression you are on a boat when you sit on the narrow beach terrace and you watch the sea at the restaurant, White Beach Bar. At the same time you enjoy the excellent freshly caught seafood in different variations, fruit cocktails or fried bananas with honey. The music here is Thai hip hop or American Indie-Pop. On the walls and in the sideboards you see the relics of many decades of music history and lifestyle from all over the world - a bar with a lot of character! And with very delicious food as well. Besides that there is a shop for beach wear, a tattoo artist and a female hair stylist offering their services; massage and internet available. You can rent bicycles, tandems, motorcycles and cars.

The last location on the furthermost northern end of the beach. The friendly Thai/French couple Chris and Nut are managing this small bar/coffeehouse, Sabai Sabai. There is a billiard table, fresh espresso and free WIFI for people who have notebooks. Some bamboo huts for sitting are on the comfortable beach terrace, the bar and some tables are in front, facing the road. Besides delicious breakfasts and good drinks, relaxing atmosphere and hip hop and reggae music to chill out, they also sell tickets for train/bus/boat and they offer trips for snorkeling and diving. Chris organizes “Visa Runs” with no extra charges, very uncomplicated and he always has the latest information regarding visa regulations. You can order food here from the neighboring restaurant “Paa Nus”.

To Tee Bar and Restaurant is set on a bamboo terrace on the road opposite the beach. The owners are a Scandinavian/Thai couple. They serve pancakes, muesli and yogurt for breakfast. Motorcycles are available to rent but not in the best condition. You can rent kayaks also.

Funky's Beach Bar is rather deserted in the daytime. The long bar has a pool table and in the evening this place is mostly visited by male tourists.
