The Makro Department Store of Krabi is situated beside the highway leading to the north. Makro is a wholesale shop, however some groceries such as vegetables, fruits and bakeries can be bought at retail prices. Rather more interesting for expatriates and of course for businesses, than for tourists.

Tesco Lotus, the British Supermarket Chain can be found along the Highway as well. The basement features a food court with great value for moeny and the Major Cineplex is also located in the same building.

Krabi Morning Market is held every morning in the market halls about 10 walking minutes outside Krabi Town Center. In some halls fruits and vegetables are offered, others show fishermen presenting their catch of the day. Going further into the market you can find meat and poultry on offer. At the back cheap clothes and shoes are for sale. Krabi Morning Market is not a tourist attraction but part of the every day life for the locals.
