All transport to and from Khao Lak is by road.
The most common means of transport are air con buses on Petchkasem Highway H4, mainly buses from Phuket to Bangkok and back.
From Phuket International Airport to Khao Lak taxis are the means of transport for most tourists, either limousine cars for two guests or minibuses for three or more guests. No public buses come directly from the air port.
To various tourist destinations in the south there are air con minibuses or minivans leaving Khao Lak at 8 and 11 am in the morning. They depart from those destinations at about the same time and reach in the afternoon.
