Best Khao Lak Map 2015 (KhaoLak) The "Best Khao Lak Map 2015" is a set of 18 maps produced by the t-Globe-Team from 2012 to November 2014. The basis is a satellite map purchased from the US in 2012 for 4000 Dollars. Intensive survey on the ground with GPS cameras complemented the satellite image. All the tourist attractions and tourist businesses shown in the maps were inspected by the team. The result are touristic maps that are up to date and contain all information available in November 2014. The maps are available for purchase in HD quality as a pdf file in a standard map design ("t-Map") and most of them also with the satellite image as a background ("t-Ground"). The intensive survey resulted also in a website of the Khao Lak Region consisting of more than 100 webpages that cover all kinds of tourist interest. The entire website is available in English as www.t-globe.com/khao-lak, in German as www.t-globe.com/khaolak, in Thai and in Russian language. 68/5 Mu 5, Bang Niang, Khao Lak, Phang Nga 82220 Tel.: 089-6534291 or 087-8966154 Maps >> Best Phang Nga Province Map HD (KhaoLak) 19/3 Mu 6, Phetkasem Road, Bang Niang, Khao Lak, Takua Pa, Phang Nga 82190
Beach >> Khao Lak Beach (ชายทะเลเขาหลัก) (KhaoLak) Khao Lak, Phang Nga Beach >> Bang Niang Beach (ทะเลบางเนียง) (KhaoLak) Bang Niang Beach was for several years the most beautiful beach of Khao Lak with a wide beach of 30 to 50 meters. The sand was sloping gently into the sea reaching swim depth after 5 to 10 meters. This changed completely after the Tsunami of December 2004, when all the beach sand was washed out into the sea with the receding waters. Since then the owners of the beach resorts are struggling to keep their land against the powers of the ocean. Many walls of varying effectiveness were built by contractors who had no clue about the force of nature. So all walls broke sooner or later, the Sudala wall even five times. In the end of 2014 the beach sand is only there during low tide so that beach hikers can walk only for 4 to 6 hours. During the other half of the day the waves are crashing into the stone and concrete walls. Bang Niang, Khao Lak, Phang Nga 82190 |
