Satuk

In the small town of Satuk, about 40 km north of the provincial capital Buriram, the large and highly venerated Buddha statue Phra Puttharup Yai is located at the shore of the Mun river.
Colourful boat races take place in Satuk at the first weekend in November.
A particularly impressive sight is the elephant parade through town and an elephant swimming contest.
