Peter Hut at Lah Own Beach is a new 2-star bungalow resort at one of the most idyllic beach locations in Khao Lak. Peter Hut has 10 rooms in bungalows made from natural material, 8 rooms in the main building made from stone and 6 new rooms in the row house. The resort is situated to the north of Nang Thong Beach in direction of Bang Niang Beach. All bungalows are located about 300 m from the beach which can be reached easily on the walkway through the same property. At the very beautiful sandy beach there are the Peter Restaurant, the Peter Bar, a few massage huts and a small shopping plaza. The Holiday Inn next door opens in Summer 2016.

The Peter Bar at the beach invites customers until late at night.

Peter Bar is a small cocktail bar by the beach in front of Peter Hut and beside Peter Restaurant. The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed. There are deck chairs on the beach available. To the north massage huts offer the usual massages. The bar closes when the last guests are leaving.

The Standard Rooms 921 to 924 are located on the east side in the main building, on the left hand side when you enter the building from the reception. The rooms 925 to 928 are on the west side to the right. Room 925, the last one on the right, has two beds (twin), all other rooms have a King size bed. All rooms feature individual air-conditioning, a fridge, and cable TV. The bathroom has hot water for the shower. On the terrace there are two chairs with a table.

The Standard Rooms in the new Row House
The Standard Rooms 951 to 956 in the new row house are situated behind the Deluxe Huts. Room 951 is furnished with new wooden furniture. All other rooms will be furnished in November 2015. All rooms feature individual air-conditioning, a fridge, and cable TV. The bathroom has hot water for the shower. The new row house has two terraces per room, facing east and west. On the terraces there are two chairs with a table.

The Superior Rooms in the Bamboo Huts
The Superior Rooms 911 to 916 are located to the west of the main building in 3 bamboo bungalows with 2 rooms each. Room 941 is a separate bamboo hut further west. Room 914 in the center has two beds (twin), all other rooms have a King size bed. All rooms feature individual air-conditioning, a fridge, and cable TV. The bathroom has hot water for the shower. There is a separate small wardrobe room in all these bungalows. On the terrace there are a table with two chairs facing north. As it is normal for bamboo huts, they are not sound proof and thus not suitable for guests who can not stand sounds or floor vibrations from the neighboring rooms.

The 3 Deluxe Huts
The wooden Deluxe Huts 942, 943 and 944 are located further 100 m to the west beside each other facing west. This is a quiet area 250 m from the beach and the restaurant. The Deluxe Huts look very attractive from outside and inside. They are fairly small, but have a King size bed. The rooms feature individual air-conditioning, a real fridge, and cable TV. The large bathroom has hot water for the shower. On the balcony there are local style sitting arrangements. The single bamboo hut 941 is a smaller Superior Room situated next to the other bamboo huts.
In the next season the 3 Deluxe Huts cost only 1400 Baht from November to April 2016. From middle of December to the end of February 2016 the Deluxe Huts are fully booked. The Peter Restaurant is located 10 meters from the sandy beach of Lah Own. The cove is one of the most idyllic spots along the Khao Lak beaches. The high casuarina trees and small palms convey the real feeling of being on a tropical beach. The 20-page menu shows images of a large selection of Thai dishes. The price level is moderate and comparable to the prices on the main road. Several guests have confirmed that the dishes are generous and delicious.

Mr. Wanlert (Lert) has 6 years experience with Peter Bar when it was situated at Sunset Beach of Khao Lak. From there he brought his long time staff to take care of the new Peter Bar at Lah Own Beach. As Lert speaks very good English his customers like to make conversations about anything Thai. The drinks are reasonably priced. A small bottle of beer costs 70 Baht, a large beer 120 Baht. A real fruit juice is 60 Baht, any cocktail 160 Baht. It is quite common that guests stay at Peter Bar until late at night or into the early morning hours.

The 10 shops of Peter Beach Plaza are situated along the border to the Holiday Inn. Here you find the On-the-Beach-Restaurant, a tailor shop, a dive shop, a souvenir shop, an air-conditioned massage salon, and a few more shops that are currently not yet occupied.
Thai Massage
It is a delight to get a Thai massage at this lovely stretch of sandy beach. The nine ladies offer Thai Massage as everywhere on the beach for 300 Baht per hour. A massage with coconut oil sets you back 400 Baht. Massage is available from 9 am to 7 pm (19:00 hours).
