The view from the pool over the limestone karsts is spectacular and once inside the resort you forget that you are right in the middle of the bustling center of Ao Nang. The rooms at the Ao Nang Cliff Beach Resort are well insulated and with the windows closed you will not hear traffic in those rooms facing the main road. The area of Mee Me Bungalows is a bit cramped in between the neighbouring bungalows so cannot be recommended for people who like detached bungalows. Following the bamboo lined alleyway to reception you enter a lush tropical garden. A small river runs through the nice restaurant at Somkiet Buri Resort. Ten rooms are located in one and two storey buildings around the pool. It is a 10 mins walk from the Somkiet Buri Resort to Ao Nang Beach. The Somkiet Buri is a neat Resort and good value for money. The Restaurant does not serve alcohol but you are allowed to bring your own. Ice Coolers provided.

The White Sand Resort is located right in the Center of Ao Nang in the same complex as Starbucks, Subway and McDonalds. The upscale guest house or rather hotel has a nice roof top Swimming Pool overlooking the ocean. The rooms are nicely decorated at the White Sand Krabi Resort.

The Krabi Heritage is a 4 storey hotel in the center of Ao Nang. The rooms are clean and offer all the amenities you would expect from a three star hotel. However, Krabi Heritage is missing some charm. The architecture is rather ugly so not very inviting for a long stay.

Ao Nang Paradise Resort is about 15 walking minutes away from the beach. The Resort is located in a tropical garden surrounded by huge trees. The shade from the trees make the rooms of Ao Nang Paradise Resort rather dark. The pool in the middle of the complex and is definitely too small for the amount of rooms. The nice bar by the pool offers a good view of the limestones. If you want to go diving - Poseidon Dive Academy is just at the front door.
