Bavaria Inn is located off the Bang Niang Bach Road 800 meters from the sea. It is tucked away behind the row of shop houses. The rooms are of varied sizes, from small to very large, some have windows, others not. All rooms are well equipped and look clean. They are taken care of by Tom Moessle and the Bavaria House team.

Ruk Cozy Hotel is a new hotel. Ruk Cozy Hotel is situated behind a row of shop houses at Phetkasem Road. In front of the hotel is a fairly large swimming pool, where swimming is possible. The rooms are clean and well furnished with TV, aircon and warmwater shower.

Chanita Mansion is situated at the end of a lane 200 meters from the main road. It consists of two buildings with three floors. The rooms are mainly rented out for several months by staff from resorts and other businesses.

R.T. Hotel is less than a 20-minute walk from the peaceful Bang Niang and Khao Lak beaches. It features free Wi-Fi and a coffee shop which serves breakfast. The rooms come with air-conditioning, TV, minibar and private bathroom. An internet café, massage, tour service, large swimming pool, free parking and a minimart on site are available.

Tony Lodge is taken over by a new owner. It is built in a rustic style with old bricks, that were once burnt inside the kilns of charcoal piles for many years. Not one stone is the same and every one could tell a long story, something about elves and fairies – a unique ambience. Regarding the reasonably priced room rate of 1200 Baht, the rooms are well furnished and fully equipped with air-conditioning, hot water, TV and internet. The receptionist speaks English very well (the lady who was there in April 2013). Tony Lodge is very quiet, even though it is located on the highway. The reason for that could be its solid construction, therefore Tony Lodge is not the right place for those who do not like clinkers or natural materials. A free shuttle service to nearby Khaolak Beach is offered. Guests can also use the swimming pool at Motive Cottage (20 meters from the hotel). The special room rate of 900 Baht for 2 people including breakfast applies from April to October.

The Motive Cottage Resort is the second resort built by the energetic young entrepreneur Tony, but now taken over by a new owner. It is constructed in rustic style, yet using modern materials which gives a more high grade impression. It is located on Petchkasem Highway about 20 meters from Tony Lodge, however it is not too noisy. The rooms feature all modern amenities of a 3-star hotel. The owner especially promotes the service of his resort and the restaurant facing the garden and the pool, serving authentic Thai cuisine. The Emotion Bar on the roadside is usually frequented during Happy Hour. Massage service, bicycle and car rental and tour desk information are also available. The A-Mart located on the ground floor offers a large choice of products. It is a 15-minute walk to Bang Niang Beach. The special price of 1200 Baht for 2 people including breakfast is valid from April to October.

The Thup Thong Guesthouse offers large fan or air-con rooms with basic furniture and amenities such as TV and hot water. All rooms have balconies with sea views. The 2 new double bungalows have their seaview terraces built right at the beach road. The property between the road and the sea is for sale and free of any obstacles. There are even a few chairs and sunshades set up next to the beach for exclusive use of the Thup Thong guests.

The Sandy House lies 200 m from the beach. It is situated in a 3-storey town house and offers large clean rooms with air-conditioning, TV and shower/WC. Under Thai/English management. The owners run a small minimart on the ground floor.
D. & I. McM. from Khanom Beach wrote about The Sandy House: "The room was clean, smelled clean too !! It had twin beds, and aircon, which I didn't need, a basic but roomy bathroom, and nice big fluffy bath towels.... and friendly UK owner Michael, his wife, Nok, and his large Thai family - were all very friendly. Price, no breakfast, 800 Baht. That was for a single occupancy. Incidentally, I was able to book with them via email/online, the day before I travelled there. In high season, I would recommend phoning in your reservation, as their prices are very competitive."

The Garden is a new small resort with 6 bamboo bungalows in a tropical garden. The Garden is situated 600 meters from Bang Niang Beach in a quiet lane next to the big Monochrome Resort. The owner is from Belgium. Ariane takes very good care of her guests. The bungalows are very well equipped for this price, even with a fridge and water cookes and hot shower. They have a mosquito net, too. The terrace has some sitting furniture. The Garden is open in the Green Season.

The Bauman Mansion is about 700 meters from Bang Niang Beach, and sited nearby many restaurants, scuba shops, tour information, taxi and motorbike services. The mansion comes with airconditioning, refrigerator, hot shower, TV and free mineral water.

The Moonlight House is situated in a townhouse on the access road to the beach. Clean and decently furnished double and twin rooms are located on the upper floors. They are equipped with air-conditioning, hot shower, cabel TV, fridge and internet. The guesthouse is only open in the season from November to early April.

The rooms on the upper floor of the small bar are managed by Yves from Switzerland together with his Thai wife. His friendly character contributes to the fact that their 3 rooms are always occupied. A billiard table is in the middle of the bar, tables and chairs are set around. Home-style dinner is available until about 9 pm, drinks usually longer. Yves' wife arranges tours in the surroundings of Khao Lak.

The Thai Life Restaurant and Guesthouse is under Swiss management.
It is situated 900 m from Bang Niang Beach, by the side of the beach road leading to the beach. It has a popular well-appointed beergarden restaurant with bar indoors and partly outdoors on the ground floor. There are guest rooms in the upper floors. The Thai Life Restaurant is very popular among Swiss expats.

813 Hostel Khaolak is situated opposite the central 7/11 supermarket in Bang Niang. The rooms are mostly in the second floor. They are very spacious and have a large bathroom. They are equipped with all modern facilities. In the evening the hostel entertains a wide surrounding with its music.

The Riverside Guesthouse is situated on the river next to the bridge in a shophouse. The rooms in the upper floors are adequate and clean. In addition there are 3 bungalow rooms in an attached row house. In the adjacent building the owners opened a dormitory with 2 large beds and 2 bunk beds, each bed for 250 Baht. The use of the attached kitchen is free. The guesthouse is run by a very friendly young family. Pranee, the mother of the owner, opened the Pranee Bungalows at the beach of Koh Kho Khao.
