Doi Saket is a district town so you find all the shops that are needed for every day life, including 7/11 and Tesco Express. Doi Saket is not very touristy, thus you do only have one travel shop, which is very efficient.
Doi Saket Market is the real center of the village. Located at the foot of the temple it serves as the songthaew stop and as a meeting point. Around the market halls you can find various shops, such as telephone shops, liquor stores, plastic shops, a pharmacy and some shops that sell flip flops and clothes. On Tuesdays the road to the football fiueld is closed as of 17,00 and a market is held just until about 19.00
Doi Saket Market is the most important vegetable and food provider in Doi Saket. You find all kinds of vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. Some stands have precooked dishes to offer. There are telephone shops around the market as well as cosmetics, stationary and shoes. Two liquor shops, ice shops and a pharmacy. Saturdays the market also has fresh seafood and clothes. Different from other markets in Thailand, most vendors open their stalls around lunch time.
Co-op Mini Market is located at Green Gasoline Station on the Highway towards Chiang Rai. The Mini Market sells snacks and beverages, except alcohol as it is part of the gasoline station.
Tour Hai International is the only travel agent in Doi Saket. They organise your trips by bus, train and plane. Moreover they can organise any excursion or tour you would like to do.

Doi Saket has four pharmacies - one is just inside the market hall and an optician.
Top Charoen is an optician chain all over Thailand. The Doi Saket branch has a decent variety of glasses.
Accessories, clothes and a gold shop are not missing either in Doi Saket. There are two hardware shops, one of them sells bicycles, a sewing shop as well as various phone shops and internet shops.
Baan Celadon is a ceramic factory as well as a museum that shows traditional Lanna Life Style and also displays the handmade pottery and ceramic items that are produced there in the traditional way. Founded in 1989 Baan Celadon wants to carry on the traditional Thai method of ceramic production by maintaining the handmade procedures. Baan Celadon emphasizes the importance of painting and carving lively designs that characterise Thai arts and cultural life. Celadon products can be bought retail and wholesale, either here in Doi Saket or in the showroom in San Kamphaeng. The palette of goods reaches from tableware to decorative items, lamps and bathroom accessories.

There are three banks in Doi Saket, only Bangkok Bank and Government Saviungs exchanges foreign currencies. All of them have ATMS. More ATMS can be found in front of 7/11 and Lotus Express. The post office is on H118.
In Case of Emergency - Accidents Call Tourist police 1155 and they will tell you where to go and what to do next. At Doi Saket Police Station hardly any English is spoken.
The moped dealers do not rent bikes but if there is a repair that needs to be done they are the ones to talk to. The two petrol stations are located on the H118
The Petrol Station is on your right if you gor from Doi Saket towards Chiang Rai on H118. A small coffee shop, a car wash and a minimarket can be found on the premises.
Motorbike Rentals
If you want to rent a bike the best is to ask at your accommodation. Mostly the bikes come from Chiang Mai, sometimes they ask you to pick them up in the city. Otherwise ask at Baan Chiangroon
Baan Chiangroong Bungalows is about 2 kilometres from Doi Saket. The spacious bungalows all come with aircon, hot shower, kettle, fridge and microwave. The friendly owner makes you feel at home immediately. The nicely decorated cafe offers good coffee and cakes.

The Promenada (โพรเมนาดา) (ChiangMai)
The Promenada is a shopping Mall that opened its doors in July 2013. The architecturally well designed complex consists of two buildings surrounded by a garden. Central Airport Playa is the biggest shopping Mall in Chiang Mai. The four storey building hosts a cinema and various restaurants and restaurant chains along with fresh food and cafe stalls. There are clothes to be sold and books.

Every Saturday the San Kamphaeng Night Market takes place. It is a must going there if you are in Doi Saket. Don´t go too late, make sure you are there before 6 o´clock. You can find all kinds of food, clothes, accessories etc on the market. The road will be closed to traffic. You hardly see any tourists on San Kamphaneg Walking Street. During the day take a chance to have a look at all the handicraft centers and stores in Bo Sang. Check out more on the Activities page on your left.
Sturday Walking Street in San Kamphaeng starts around 16.00 and closes at 22.00. The local vendors offer their handicrafts, fresh veggies, herbs, clothes,plastic ware and of course loads of food food food.....Make sure you get there before 18.00 and observe the National anthem at 6, when there is a three minute stand still as everybody listens carefully.
