Pak Meng Beach is the main beach of Trang Province. The other beaches are Chang Lang, Yong Lin, Hat Yao and Hat Samran.
Chang Lang Beach
From Pak Meng cross over the Klong Hla Bridge and you will reach Chang Lang Beach. The exclusive Amari Resort Trang rises 300 m behind the bridge, it comprises of several 3-storey buildings with a total of 138 rooms. After 1.8 km two resorts are located at the left side of the road and after another 4.5 km you will arrive at the Visitor Center of Chao Mai National Park (400 Baht entrance fee) which is situated at KM 6.5.
at Yong Ling
Its white sandy beach and beautiful sea water offer a good place for swimming safely. Tourists often visit this beach for recreation and swimming. Its pine tree shaded beach and limestone cliffs are at Hat Yong Ling or Hat Yao.
At the end of the beach is Mount Yong Ling where there is a grotto. You can walk through to Hat San on the other side. Hat San is a small beach about 1 km in length with a similar atmosphere to Hat Yong Ling but is quieter and suitable for relaxation. It offers a view of Koh Muk.
Hat Yao Beach (Trang)
Hat Yai lies at KM 8, about 24 km south of Pak Meng, at the right side. It is a very beautiful 4 km long sandy beach fringed by casuarina trees. The most fascinating part is at the southern end with rocks jutting out far into the sea. This is an excellent place for swimming, even during monsoon season (from June to October). Unfortunately, there are also sandflies and lots of rubbish. A foodstall offers drinks and simple dishes. Water for showers can be obtained from a well nearby.
