Green Garden Villa is a first class holiday home with 3 bedrooms near Bang Muang Beach 17 km north of Khao Lak. The vacation rental was built by a Swedish family according to European standards in the midst of tropical vegetation. The house has a large Swimming Pool with beautiful view into the nature. The holiday home comes complete with air conditioning and warm water, has two bathrooms, a large, completely equipped living room with integrated kitchen (fridge, gas cookers, coffee machine, plates and cutlery), a large terrace around the pool, and a beautiful garden. Next door are the houses of a Swedish and a Finnish family, very friendly people. A few local houses are in the vicinity of Green Garden Villa, so the area is very quiet, but not too lonely.

The Hip Resort @ Khao Lak (in short The Hip) is situated next to the popular Thai Life Homestay Resort on the same beach adjoining property. The 12 bungalows on stilts are built 1000 metres from the beach which is easily accessible by bike or an electric cart.

Thai Life Homestay Resort and Spa features very special holiday houses. Khun Maneerat, the owner, wants to make tourists acquainted with Thai lifestyle in the countryside. The small and beautiful resort is situated at the edge of a cashew plantation, 1 km from the beach. The 20 bungalows are built in central Thailand style on high stilts and they are equipped with all 4-star amenities, including a kitchenette and a large bathroom. One house is a double bungalow where the two units are connected by doors from the kitchenette. From the terraces there is a magnificent view over a lake to the sea. All bungalows are situated in a vegetable garden, where typical Thai vegetables were planted by the owner and her staff.
A coffee shop serves breakfast (included in the room rate) and also small meals à la carte. Salas at the lakeside invite for relaxing. An exclusive spa belongs to the premises.

The 8 houses consist of two floors and come with very spacious rooms. A big restaurant building offers a beautiful view over the large swimming pool to the whole resort.

Bang Pling Nature is a very beautiful small resort in the middle of nature. Bang Pling Nature is situated 6 km south of Bang Muang, 2 km away from the highway on a gravel road. Four attractive bungalows are set next to a lake. The bungalows are equipped with all modern amenities and are very good value for money. There is a restaurant with a BBQ area and a bar in the garden. The caretaker is very friendly, she speaks good English. An elephant camp that belongs to the same owner is located 200 m from there. Everything else is far away, so that guests depend with everything on the resort. Taxi service to Khao Lak is available for 800 Baht.

Jae Pha 2 Restaurant offers dishes with rice and pork (Kao Mu Krob, Kao Mu Daeng) as well as noodle dishes. It is a good place, reasonably priced. The restaurant is located in Bang Muang opposite the PTT Gas Station, open from 7 am to 3 pm.

The Thai Life Coffee Shop is situated by the lakeside at Thai Life Homestay Resort in Bang Muang. The chef has learned his profession in various five-star resorts all over Thailand. His food preparations are outstanding. We highly recommend trying his Cordon Bleu.

Yim Yim Restaurant was located in the fishing village of Nam Khem before the tsunami. After that the father of the family, who lost his wife and two daughters, moved to the main road. It is still a very popular place, but no longer the best Chinese Seafood Restaurant in the province. Tourists are recommended to come along with a local as only these people will know which dishes are exceptionally outstanding. Fried rice is not very special here; however, Wun Sen Kung (noodle dish with shrimp) is really delicious.

The Thai Life Beach Kiosk is set up in a container right by the beach of Bang Muang. The cook prepares various snacks and drinks. For the happy hour before sunset cocktails for half price are offered. Nearby is a toilet in another container.

Supaporn Elephant Tour has the same owner as Bang Pling Nature Resort. The gravel road turns off Petchkasem Highway about 4 km south of Bang Muang just after the bridge. There are signboards on the left and right of the road. This elephant trekking also offers elephant bathing in a nice lake in beautiful landscape.
