Hat Chao Samran, the Beach of Phetchaburi

The closest beach to Phetchaburi, Hat Chao Samran, stretches 16 km southeast of the city. The name means “beach of the third happy king”. A new recreation area with several hotels was developed along the beach which is protected with large boulders. Many songthaews run on the H3177 to the beach for 12 Baht.

At Hat Chao Samran half a dozen very beautiful beach resorts are situated north of the access road.
About 150 m from the beach a new road leads to the south passing Puk Tian Beach and Phet Beach ending in the resort town, Cha-am.
Many government agencies and industrial companies have constructed their private resort areas between the road and the beach.
A few public bungalow villages exist to the west of the road.
